It seems I've read / heard / imagined somewhere that Meals-on-Wheels programs are suffering because of the high price of fuel these days. Several years ago I signed up to volunteer for a Meals-on-Wheels; I insisted I'd do it by bike; they insisted I must do it by car; we parted ways. Their loss.
