Besides what it is, it's also an example of "fascinating obsolete web pages," and led to another: http://www.droodles.com/ . HEre's my essay question of the day: why didn't droodles become one of those "email to everybody" things? Gone the way of the googlewhack, it has.
The page of examples of "psychological traffic calming" was really unnerving to me - much like, I"m sure, a college prank pulled in DOver DE many moons ago when students took the head of a mannequin and simply placed it between the yellow lines in the middle of Main STreet. You want to see traffic "calmed?" (NOT!)
