Today I crossed town on Green Street, beginning at the Lincoln Square end at 8:27. It was a remarkable day in that not one but THREE different vehicles didn't seem to realize I existed - or, at least, kept moving forward even though I was crossing an intersection perpendicular to them. (It is completely possible that one of them was simply anticipating my forward progress - but it was *after* the first two, so I wasn't assuming anything.) Mr. "Movie 5" with the handicapped tags may have had a handicap of the driving sort - he sure didn't seem to know I was there at all.
None of 'em were particularly dangerous - I just had to brake and wait and, probably, had I gone through the intersection at speed we mgiht have collided (or I'd have had to brake a lot harder).
Now, I didn't start this blog because of this; I've been meaning to do it for about 5 months. This was a very atypical day; I generally go weeks in between having to slow for a vehicle.
Let's see if this flies...
